Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By using RepoOcto (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. The Service
RepoOcto is a VS Code extension and web dashboard that generates AI-powered quizzes about your codebase. The Service includes quiz generation, spaced repetition scheduling, XP tracking, the knowledge heatmap, and the XP marketplace.
3. Your Account
You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. One person per account — sharing credentials is not permitted.
4. Your Code
You retain all rights to your source code. RepoOcto processes a compressed representation of your code locally and sends it to your configured AI provider using your API key. We do not claim any ownership or rights over your code.
5. XP & Marketplace
XP earned through quizzes can be redeemed for AI tool credits in the marketplace. XP has no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts. We reserve the right to adjust XP values and marketplace pricing.
6. Free Tier
The free tier is available to individual developers at no cost, indefinitely. We reserve the right to modify free tier features with 30 days notice.
7. Enterprise Plans
Enterprise features are subject to a separate agreement. Enterprise trials last 14 days unless extended. Cancellation is available at any time by contacting support.
8. Acceptable Use
Don't use RepoOcto to: reverse-engineer the AI question generation, scrape or redistribute quiz content, create competing products using our data, or violate any applicable laws.
9. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your quiz data is deleted within 30 days.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-product notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
